Resolutions 2020 – Always greener

A new year that aspires to be greener than previous years! Here are some resolutions that I hold on to and that will be useful to you…

Taking care of yourself

Any plans? I've got several in mind. This year again, my body and brain are to be treated as rare parts. So yes, taking care of yourself is a false resolution since it should be applied daily.

Eating and exercising better are the basics that I set myself throughout the year.

I would like to go further, trying meditation, more yoga, relaxing treatments, or rejuvenating myself by hiking or walking.

Bringing a green dimension to our passions

I got used to the idea that to achieve a 100% eco-responsible lifestyle, I would have to give up most of the things I use today. Many of my purchases are harmful to the environment, especially my food-related purchases, which mostly involve plastic packaging.

Today, the media and personalities blame the companies responsible for the poor health of our planet. But behind these companies, people work like me on average 8 hours a day. For most of them, their work is their passion, but nothing prevents these people from improving their environment in the restaurant business, financial, sectarian industry. Every little action counts. Learn more and think about greener alternatives that could help more than one.

Never stop learning

The eco-responsibility lifestyle, ethical fashion and everything directly related to ecology have taught me a lot about the world, my surroundings and myself. Year after year, we never stop learning and even more so today that is literally within reach of our hands.

"We must learn, not for the sake of knowledge but to defend ourselves against the contempt in which the world holds the ignorant" – Charlie Chaplin

As far as I'm concerned, I start with this book below by Julien Vidal:

I made a list of books that I wish I had absolutely read before the end of the year:

Human relationships vs. intangible relationships

The only thing I need is to drink, eat, spend time with those I love. I'm getting to a point where I want to focus on useful things that I want to remember but not just an ephemeral memory but something lasting. I'm attacking this year with clothes. Unless the garment or accessory is offered to me, I will not buy any this year, except in case of extreme necessity (eco-responsible underwear).

You have to make up for these vintage or non-vintage compulsive purchases. I would like to focus on more encounters through travel, events, volunteering and other experiences where you can give your time to help and improve the lives of others.
