Organic Basics' Activewear range

Square

I mostly wear their underwear for their comfort. So it was looking forward to me testing the Activewear range of Organic Basics.

Materials

It's hard to have a 100% eco-friendly sportswear. Elasticity does not exist without elasthanne, a synthetic fiber derived from plastic.
Here, the composition of this set is divided in two with 96% recycled nylon and 4% elastane.
Recycled nylon: it consumes 80% less water than conventional nylon.
As for elasthanne: Organic Basics is aware of the efforts they still have to make. I had a conversation with Dimitri de Martignac, commercial director of Organic Basics, who spoke of the brand's desire to use recycled elasthanne.

Quality

Organic Basics has once again been true to its objectives; provide sustainable and environmentally friendly clothing. I have this set since July 2020, and have worn it at least 6 or 7 times since and made 3 or 4 machines in total. Unlike other sportswear, it retains very little bad odours due to this innovative material; Polygiene®. These are recycled silver salts that slow the spread of odor in the fabric.

Not suitable for everyone

The challenge with sports breaststrokes is their maintenance when practicing intense physical exercises. I wore this bra to run and do yoga. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't suitable for my chest. I think this type of bra would be suitable for breasts that are small or for those who practice a gentle sport. As for leggings, it just cuts.

Their Active range seems more suitable, to test.
